Main Library - ground floor café open

The café in the Main Library, George Square, is the first part of the ground floor to have been opened for use.

Its opening hours during June and July are Mon-Fri, 9am to 4pm.

Until the 1st of July access to the café will be from outside using the new external café doors.

Main Library - 1st and 3rd floor - stock moving

The current journals, newspapers, newspaper indexes and microfilms on the 1st floor of the Main Library in George Square are being moved to the 3rd floor between Monday 22nd June 2009 and Wednesday 24th June 2009.

However, it is expected, material will only be unavailable for the short time it is removed from the shelves, in transit between floors and re-shelved.
